In March of 2012, the Canadian government passed the Safe Streets and Communities Act. In this Act, amendments were made to Criminal Records Act. One of these changes resulted in a Canadian Pardon receiving new terminology as a Record Suspension. While the terminology changed, a Record Suspension still means the same thing as a Pardon does.
I just wanted to let you know that I did go to Pearson Airport last Saturday and handed in my application successfully. It was quite a long and painful process but luckily I went early as you advised me, at 4am and got out of there around 1pm. I want to thank you again for all your help with this, I truly could not have done it without you and Gary. Thanks so much much!
